PSF axes Mehran, Harris from World Jr Squash camp
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) on Wednesday barred two players from participation in the World Junior Squash Championship camp as they were found to be over-age.
According to Wing Commander Tahir Sultan, Honorary Secretary PSF, both Mehran Javed and Harris Iqbal have been dropped from the camp set up for the World Junior Squash Championship.
“After conducting medical tests of the players at the camp, it was found that both Mehran and Harris were over-age and therefore they were removed from the camp,” he said.
It may be mentioned here that the Championship is scheduled to be held in New Zealand from July 19. He said no compromise would be made on over aged players.
“If these two players were caught in the World Junior Squash Championship, it would have brought a bad name to the country,” he said.
