Youth killed in firing ‘by policeman’

LARKANA: A 15-year-old youth lost his life and five other people sustained bullet wounds when a policeman allegedly resorted to firing during a heated argument between

two groups over theft of a mobile phone set in Dhamraho village, some 15km from here on Friday.

Relatives of Allauddin who took him to the Chandka Medical College Hospital in critical condition told reporters that constable Ghulam Asghar Junejo, who had arrived at the scene along with his sons, opened fire during the quarrel and wounded six people — Allauddin, Mohammed Ismail, Pervaiz Ali, Sadoro Khan, Ali Sher and Ali Madad Sadhayo.

Allauddin succumbed to wounds during treatment at the hospital.
