KARACHI: Nasir Meh­mood Satti, DIG Motorway Police South zone, at a certificate distribution ceremony for 120 young drivers who were trained jointly by the Motorway Police, said that next year around 100,000 individuals more would be trained. This, he announced, was a move by the law-enforcement agency to spread road safety awareness as well as reduce accidents.

“Every year 25,000 people suffer due to road accidents in Pakistan,” he said.

Earlier, Faisal Edhi of the Edhi Foundation distributed certificates among the trained drivers and appreciated the efforts of the Motorway Police.
