Official sources said that the two groups of Otmankhail tribe clashed with each other in village Nagnga, some 25 km of Loralai town and started firing.

The two groups used automatic weapons against each other, resulting in the death of two persons and injuring seven others belonging to both the groups.

The personnel of Levies and other law enforcement agencies reached the site after and took the bodies and the injured to the district hospital.

Two tribesmen, who were killed in the armed clash, were identified as Dolat Khan and Abdul Khaliq. The bodies were handed over to their families after completing medico-legal formalities.

“The cause of armed clash was a dispute over the ownership of land,” a senior Levies official said.

A heavy contingent of security forces was deployed in the area and efforts were under way for a ceasefire.

“Firing continued between the two groups,” Mohammad Usman, a local journalist told Dawn, adding that the local administration was making efforts to stop the clash.
