QUETTA: One person was killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Awaran area on Thursday.

Official sources said that a man opened fire on security forces in the Pirandr locality.

The fire was returned and in the ensuing shootout the attacker was killed.

The body was taken to a nearby health centre where he was identified as Zahid.
