Incomplete flat project

I AND many other victims of an incomplete housing project appeal to the National Accountability Bureau chairman for a sympathetic hearing as we have been waiting for the last 25 years for justice.

We booked apartments in a housing project called Silver Sands Apartments located near Sea View, Clifton.

This project was launched in the early ‘90s and many middle class people booked apartments after checking all the NOCs from CBC, DHA, etc. Work on the project continued for a few years and the main structure completed. However, the builders stopped work thereafter.

NAB took notice of the case two years ago and sprang into action. It contacted allottees whose hard-earned money was frozen in the project to start proceedings against the builders.

The allottees were happy that their long wait for their homes was over. However, the bureau has been unable to ensure justice for the allottees.

The NAB chairman is requested to help out the allottees who have exhausted themselves in their quest for justice.

The return of the depositors money should pose no problem as the land on which this project stands is now worth billions of rupees.
