Ghous visits blast victims’ families

KHAIRPUR: Former Sindh chief minister Syed Ghous Ali Shah visited the families of several victims of the Sehwan carnage in Kotdiji on Saturday. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and sympathies to the wounded victims.

Talking to reporters, the veteran politician expressed his full support to the ongoing operation, Raddul Fasaad, launched by the army, and said it should target all terrorists and other criminals across the country so that complete peace could be restored.

He said that Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was one of the great Sufi saints and the act of terrorism in his shrine was a matter of serious concern for all. “The attack summons attention of the authorities concerned, who must ensure foolproof security at all shrines and other religious places in the country,” he said.

In reply to a question, he criticised certain politicians for changing their loyalties, and said he would never do so. He said he had been with the Pakistan Muslim League and would remain with it for the rest of his life. He vowed to make his best efforts towards reuniting different factions of the party.
