Pesco gets new head

PESHAWAR: Engr Shabir Ahmad has replaced Anwar-ul-Haq Yousufzai as the new chief executive officer of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco).

On assuming the charge, the new CEO vowed that he would utilise his energies for the betterment of the company and for the removal of public grievances, according to a statement issued here on Monday. He vowed to stabilise the financial position of the power company for which he asked for cooperation of the company’s employees and the public.

The new CEO directed the Pesco officers and officials to make all out efforts to reduce the line losses and enhance recovery.

Similarly, he also asked the Pesco employees to facilitate the consumers at their doorsteps.
