Three killed in separate incidents

TAXILA: Three people were killed in separate incidents in Wah and Attock on Sunday.

A 19-year-old brick-kiln worker, identified as Khursheed Khan, was shot dead near his house in the Pind Bhoti village of Wah Cantonment.

Sub-Inspector Mudassir Abbas of the Wah police told Dawn that the deceased was a native of Hangu. His body bore multiple bullet injuries.

An electrician of the railway department died after being electrocuted at the Chhab railway station in Attock on Sunday.

The railway police said Pervez Iqbal, father of 10, including seven daughters, was working on an electric pole when he was electrocuted.

In another incident, a man committed suicide in his house in People’s Colony, Attock. The Attock police said Talha Waqar, father of two, shot himself dead with a 12-bore shotgun.

Quoting the family sources, the police said Mr Waqar was a businessman and had been suffering from depression.
