Apex court urged to take notice of corruption

QUETTA: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has been urged to take notice of alleged corruption in government departments and set up a judicial commission headed by a senior judge of the apex court or the Balochistan High Court to investigate allegations in this regard.

The demand was made by representatives of government contractors, Muhammad Tariq Raisani, Zafar Qambrani, Anwar Mandokhel and Abdul Manan Kakar during a press conference on Tuesday.

Sticking to allegations against ministers and members of the provincial assembly, the representatives admitted publishing an advertisement in this regard, while expressing their willingness to appear before any forum, including the Privilege Committee of the Balochistan Assembly, to prove them.
