Ramesh shines in SHC Greens win

KARACHI: A fine half-century from Vinod Ramesh helped Sindh High Court (SHC) Greens defeat SHC Blues by 43 runs in the latest fixture of the third Inter-judicial T20 cricket tournament at the Pakistan Steel Cricket Ground.

Put into bat, SHC Greens posted 195-4 with Ramesh making 59 off 32 balls with the aid of seven boundaries. Mohammad Asif also batted well to make a 32-ball 44 with three fours.

SHC Blues, in reply, were restricted to 152-7 despite Marij Ahmed (39 off 25 balls, five boundaries), Manzoor Maqsood (31 off 21, four fours) and Haroon Khan (23 off 15, two fours) being their main run-getters.

Off-spinner Abdul Hameed Rathore claimed three wickets for 27 runs, while leg-spinner Raju took 2-27.

Ramesh was declared man-of-the-match.
