LAHORE: Police on Wednesday recovered a live grenade from a garbage pile on Gurumangat Road.

Police said they received a call when a garbage collector found a grenade at LWMC depot.

Police and bomb disposal squad reached the spot, recovered the grenade weighing half a kilo and defused it.

Police have started investigation after recording the statements of eyewitnesses.

Police said they might trace the source with the help of CCTV cameras.
