Skeet shooting competition

PESHAWAR: The first round of skeet shooting competition was held by the political administration in Jamrud, Khyber Agency, on Thursday.

A press release issued by the organisers said that additional political agent Mir Raza Ozgan inaugurated the first “PA Khyber skeet shooting competition” in Jamrud tehsil.

The event was being organised by the political administration of Khyber Agency and it will continue till Nov 28.

The statement said that 60 local shooters participated in the first round of the competition held at Jamrud Stadium. Top five shooters from Khyber Agency qualified for the next round.

They included Jamshed Afridi, Liaquat Afridi, Shamshad, Fahad Afridi and Fahad Khan. They would proceed to the finals which would be held on Monday at Garrison Park, Peshawar.

The second round in amateur category would be held on Friday at the Garrison Park and top four would proceed to the finals. Professional shooters would compete on Sunday and their top four qualifying shooters would compete on Monday at the finals at the Garrison Park shooting range.
