UET students to benefit from skill initiative

LAHORE: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday with Al-Khawarizimi Institute of Computer Sciences (KICS) and Huawei Telecom to conduct training courses for the students to improve their skills in various fields.

Under the MoU, the training courses involving highly professional instructors will be started soon.

UET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid said the institution seeks progressive and productive ties with the industry to enable youngsters to realise their dreams and empower them with the latest skills.

Mr David, Director Training Huawei Middle East Region, said the extension in relations with the KICS, UET would be beneficial for students to create place for induction as a well-equipped workforce.

He appreciated the networking labs established at the centre.

KICS Director Dr Waqar gave presentation on Huawei and UET’s business relationship and progress made so far. He also briefed on the HUTICs significant developments made so far in term of training the students and professionals.
