More pleas in medical admission policy case

LAHORE: Private medical colleges have also approached the Lahore High Court against the federal government’s policy of regulation of admission to private colleges since the court suspended the policy’s notification.

The court on a number of petitions moved by students had already suspended the impugned admission regulation policy along with the Oct 27 notification issued by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza has also passed the same order on fresh petitions filed by Sahara Medical College, Lahore Medical & Dental College, and Multan Medical & Dental College. The judge sought replies from the PMDC and other authorities for Nov 29.
