UN urged to send mission to Kashmir

UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi has again urged the UN to send a fact-finding mission to Kashmir, saying that India’s refusal to allow one was in fact an acknowledgment of the atrocities being committed by its occupation forces. Talking to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein who called on her, Pakistan’s envoy noted that Mr Hussein’s calls for sending the mission to India-held Kashmir to assess the situation on the ground were a source of solace for the people of Kashmir.
