Rs5 coins

THIS is apropos M. Arif Raza’s letter from Islamabad regarding Rs5 coins. I endorse my views regarding the issuance of Rs5 coins.

The State Bank has not considered the shape of the coin to be accepted by the public at large. The bank is trying to save on metal and thus minimizing the cost on its minting.

It was the responsibility of the department concerned to compare with international currencies and to make it into a beautiful shape and size.

Doing this will make a good impression on the world.

It is requested that the shape of the coin be restored to its previous shape.
