Imran failed to bring promised change: PML-N

MARDAN: The central leaders of PML-N have said that PTI chief Imran Khan failed to bring his promised change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

They were addressing a public meeting in Shamilaat area of Shergarh city here on Sunday. Besides federal ministers Pervaiz Rashid and Ahsan Iqbal, the meeting was addressed Eng Amir Muqam, Pir Sabir Shah and other leaders of the party.

On the occasion, MPA Jamshed Mohmond of PTI along with members of district, tehsil, village and neighbourhood councils and other supporters announced to join PML-N.

Addressing the meeting, Pervaiz Rashid said that they believed in politics of non-violence. He said that provincial government of PTI failed to bring any positive change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The federal minister for information alleged that PTI government spent billions of rupees on plantation but no tree could be found anywhere in the province.

He said that they would make the provincial rulers accountable for the billion tree project. Mr Rashid said that taking steps for restoration of peace as well as resolving problem of power loadshedding was the agenda of PML-N. He said that after the failed attack on Raiwind, the PTI leadership was planning to attack the federal capital, Islamabad.

Mr Rashid claimed that PTI chief would not present in Islamabad on October 30.

Ahsan Iqbal said that on the occasion that Pakistan was had different types of resources.

He said that conspiracies were hatched against development of the country.

“China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the project of entire Pakistan,” said the federal minister for planning and development. He claimed that Baloshistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would get maximum benefits of CPEC as both the provinces were gateways to Afghanistan and Central Asia.

Mr Iqbal said that 10,000 megawatts electricity would be added to the power system till 2018. Besides, he said, the federal government had approved more than 100 projects for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that terrorists were on the run after successful military operation Zarb-i-Azb.

Speaking on the occasion, Amir Muqam said that they were unable to understand the politics of PTI chief Imran Khan.

He said that Imran Khan was accepting only those decisions of court or commission that were in his favour. He said that Imran Khan was always dreaming to become prime minister.

Mr Muqam advised Imran Khan to stop dreaming about becoming prime minister. He said that Imran Khan was affected by Nawaz phobia that’s why he always talked against the prime minister.

“Our agenda is based on development and prosperity,” said Mr Muqam. He said that they believed in work instead of sit-ins. He said that Pervez Khattak failed to bring change in the province despite of remaining chief minister for three years.

“We have brought real change that’s why now residents of the province want government of Mian Nawaz Sharif in Khyber Pakhtunkwha,” he said. He said that PML-N would emerge as a popular party of the province. “We will fulfil demands of people of the province,” he added.

On the occasion, he also announced provision of 40-KV electricity transformer to the area.
