India bowl out New Zealand for 190 in first ODI

India bowled out New Zealand for 190 in 43.5 overs in the first one-day international (ODI) in Dharamsala on Sunday.

Debutant medium-pacer Hardik Pandya and Amit Mishra took three wickets each while Tom Latham (79 not out) and Tim Southee (55) put on 71 runs for the ninth wicket to give some respect to the visiting total.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss earlier and elected to bowl in the first ODI against New Zealand.

The hosts, who last week completed a 3-0 whitewash in a Test series against the Black Caps, have handed allrounder Hardik Pandya his ODI debut.

Skipper Kane Williamson, who decided to go with three quicks and two spinners in the starting lineup, has rested pacers Trent Boult and Matt Henry for the match in the picturesque Himalayan hill station.
