ISLAMABAD: With India continuing to violate ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC), many areas in Bhimber sector of Azad Kashmir came under fire early on Tuesday.

Military sources said that Usman valley, situated between the Boxer and Khanjar areas, was fired upon by Indian forces at about 4am.

The Baghsar and Broh areas, situated in the same sector, also came under fire. However, no loss of life was reported.

According to the sources, the Pakistani troops responded to the Indian firing in a “befitting manner”.

They said that many people living near the LoC have already moved to safe places as a precautionary measure, as firing by Indian forces has become a routine affair.

A military official said there were reports that an oil depot and some bunkers had been destroyed in retaliatory firing by Pakistan forces on Monday after unprovoked firing by Indian troops in the Kailer sector.
