Bank of Khyber to celebrate silver jubilee

PESHAWAR: The management of Bank of Khyber (BoK) has decided to organise silver jubilee celebrations on completion of the 25 years of banking by this premier bank of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This was stated by BoK managing director Shamsul Qayyum while addressing the biannual branch banking conference and certificate distribution ceremony of the bank, according to a statement issued here on Sunday.

Mr Qayyum reiterated the bank’s commitment to play its role in the economic development of the country, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that on successful completion of 25 years of banking, the BoK would hold silver jubilee celebrations.

He said that the bank’s assets had reached Rs175 billion, which showed the public confidence in the bank. He said that the BoK had been offering banking services to the people with its 130 branches in more than 80 cities of the country. He said that another 20 branches would be opened in 10 cities by Dec 31, 2016.
