The press release clarifies that thereafter a request through a summary was received from the higher education department for allocation of 300 kanals for the signature project of Women University, Mardan.

The health department keeping in view the importance of female education endorsed the proposal with the condition that the 300 kanals may be earmarked at one side of the land so that contiguous land around 700 kanals remains for the allied health facilities required for the Bacha Khan Medical College, Mardan.

Thereafter, the KP chief minister approved the transfer of land consequent to a meeting attended by all concerned departments in the best public interest. It may be noted that the 300-kanal land given to the project of Women University, Mardan, does not touch any of the indicated land identified for the project related to Bacha Khan Medical College, which includes the dental college and sports and residential complex.
