Multi-language promoters’ guides to attract foreign investors

ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has issued ‘promoters’ guides’ in six international languages for encouraging and facilitating foreign investment in the country.

The guides — written in English, Chinese, Turkish, Arabic, German and Persian — are available on the SECP’s website.

The promoters’ guides provide comprehensive information regarding incorporation of a company in Pakistan, fee structure, facilities available for online registration and post incorporation statutory compliance to potential foreign investors in their native languages, a statement issued by the commission said.

“Pakistan offers tremendous investment opportunities and foreign investor companies are also eager to benefits from the CPEC and Gwadar Port projects.

These guidebooks would be very useful to foreign investors aiming to invest in Pakistan in understanding the incorporation process,” SECP Chairman Zafar Hijazi said.

He stressed that Pakistan’s regulatory environment is among the most investor-friendly in the world.
