Another teacher ‘threatened’ with attack on school

RAWALPINDI: Another schoolteacher has received a threatening phone call from an unidentified individual who claimed her school would be attacked in the near future, police said.

This is the third incident in which a school faculty member has received a threatening phone call in Rawalpindi within the last week.

Police said an FIR has been registered based on a complaint by Mohammad Arif, a security official from the school.

The call was made on August 28, and the security official went to Sihala police shortly after.

However, the police did not entertain his complaint, and said he should contact the Civil Lines station because the caller number was installed in Rawalpindi.

It took two days for Mr Arif to get an FIR registered.

The FIR was registered by the Civil Lines police on August 31, and an investigation was started.

When contacted, the investigating officer said the police were trying to trace the caller and acquire call data.
