ACTION DEMANDED: The EDO, works and services, Khaliq Dino Mirani, has called for action against the executive engineer, local government, for his absence from the duty without information.

In a letter addressed to the DCO on Wednesday, the EDO stated that due to the absence of Ferozuddin Memon, preparation of reports and references on the Drought Emergency Relief Assistance programme was being delayed.

He said that in the recent meeting of Nov 19, the additional chief secretary, Sindh, had taken serious view of the delay.

The EDO said that Memon had remained absent from duty on Nov 24 and 25 and even after Eid holidays, he had not joined the duty.

The cost estimates of DERA-II schemes had not yet been submitted by the engineer therefore action against him should be taken, the EDO proposed.
