ACCORDING to media reports, Lt- Gen (r) Muzamil Hussain has taken over the charge as Wapda chairman. According to the report, he remained Corp Commander Gujranwala; defense attaché in Jakarta, division commander in Gilgit-Baltistan and IG (Training & Evaluation) at GHQ, but nothing has been reported about his academic qualifications or experience for the new job.

I believe there is no dearth of qualified and competent engineers having lifelong experience in this sector. One wonders as to what was the compulsion that obliged the prime minster to appoint a non-cadre person having no experience for such an important institution like Wapda.
