Shuhada Trust set up in Balochistan

QUETTA: A ‘Shuhada Trust’ for the welfare of lawyers’ families has been set up in Balochistan in compliance with a decision taken at a meeting of the judges of the Balochistan High Court.

BHC Chief Justice Mohammad Noor Meskanzai, while presiding over the meeting, had called for establishing the trust to deal with matters pertaining to the families of the slain judges and lawyers.

The meeting was attended by all the judges of the high court which reached the consensus that three-day salary of the judges of the high court, two-day salary of the judges of the subordinate judiciary and one-day salary of the courts’ staff would be donated to the trust. According to the estimate, the amount to be donated totalled Rs10 million.
