AT least 28 trees were chopped down in Seaview Township, DHA, a few days ago.

The residents of the neighbourhood are aghast , as this matter was never discussed at a meeting of the committee that oversees the affairs of the Seaview.

Inquiries as to who ordered this wanton destruction of fully grown trees are being stonewalled.

The authorities should realise we need to protect trees, rather plant yet more saplings in Karachi to give the metropolis the space and ability to breathe.
