LHCBA for sedition case against MQM leaders

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Bar Association has called for action against Muttahida Qaumi Movement leaders on “charges of sedition”, also demanding cancellation of the party’s registration.

Speaking at LHCBA’s general house meeting on Wednesday, lawyers said the MQM chief Altaf Hussain and other leaders of the party exposed their “real faces” through their anti-Pakistan speeches.

They said the MQM leaders’ speeches were an open charge sheet against them and the government should initiate action against them for “sedition”.

The lawyers also demanded election commission should cancel registration of the MQM for its involvement in “anti-state activities”.

LHCBA Secretary Ans Ghazi presented a resolution before the house on the issue which was passed by the members unanimously. During the meeting, the members chanted slogans against the MQM.
