BADIN: A young girl and mother of an infant was allegedly killed by her father-in-law near Matli town of Badin district, police said on Monday.

SSP Tando Mohammad Khan Shabir Ahmed Sethar told Dawn that the accused has been taken into custody.

He added that ASP Tando Mohammad Khan has been directed to “thoroughly probe into the matter and report on urgent basis”.

Sethar said that a First Information Report (FIR) would be registered in the light of the investigation.
