Two brothers ‘poisoned’ to death

SARGODHA: A man poisoned two brothers to death on suspicion that they had relations with his wife in Sillanwali on Saturday.

Police said Ehsanullah of Sillanwali used to work in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, where he contracted love marriage with Safina Bibi. He came back to his town and settled in its Sikandar Sultan Colony.

Three days back, Gul Zeb and his brother Haroon, residents of Kotli, came to meet Safina in Sillanwali. Ehsan served them food and mixed poison in it. After an hour, both the brothers died and Ehsan threw their bodies in a manhole in the adjacent housing colony.

The suspect had suspicion that the victims had relations with his wife.

Sillanwali police arrested Ehsan, Safina Bibi and another person and they confessed to committing the crime.

Police shifted the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Sillanwali, for postmortem.

SMUGGLERS: Police claim to have arrested 12 drug peddlers and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from them.

Teams from different police stations conducted raids and arrested 12 suspects and recovered 5,900 gram hashish, 105 bottles of liquor and illegal weapons from them.

The suspects include Basit, Abbas, Imran, Mujahid, Khurram, Mazhar, Ashraf, Faisal and Inam.
