Pharma firms told to ensure drug supply

ISLAMABAD: The Drug Registration Board (DRB) has warned pharmaceutical companies to ensure supply of registered life saving drugs in the market otherwise strict action will be taken against them.

Moreover companies have been bound to submit the data of manufacturing and sales of medicine after every three months.

Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (Drap) CEO Dr Mohammad Aslam told Dawn that a number of companies had gotten medicines registered, but were not manufacturing them.

“During the meeting of DRB it was discussed that some essential and life-saving medicines are running short in the market.
