Robbers steal cash, valuables

ISLAMABAD: Robbers made off with cash and valuables from different areas of the capital, police said here on Friday.

In I-9/1, some burglars broke into the house of Shabana Bibi and escaped with cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees.

In H-9 Sunday Bazaar, a thief stole cash and mobile from the a woman, the police said, adding that the victim Uzma Shabir came over to the bazaar for shopping where the culprit picked cash and mobiles worth thousands of rupees from her purse.

A pickpocket stole cash from a man traveling on metro bus, the police said adding that Iqbal Ahmed told the Industrial Area police that he was traveling in the bus where someone picked the cash worth thousands of rupees from him.

A Toyota Corolla of Sarfaraz Sajid was lifted from the parking area of Rawat Sabzi Mandi.

Meanwhile, the capital police have arrested nine outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered narcotics, and liquor from them, police said.

Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigations were in progress.
