FAISALABAD: Police killed an alleged robber in an encounter in Chak 58-JB, Jaranwala, on Monday.

Police said three motorcyclists snatched a motorcycle from a man on Shahkot Road and escaped.

On being informed, the Jaranwala Sadar police spotted three motorcyclists and signalled them to stop but they escaped. Police chased them and traded fire. One of the gunmen, identified as Sohna Oad, was injured while the other fled.

Police said the Rescue 1122 was called to shift the injured gunman to the hospital but he breathed his last before reaching hospital.
