Khursheed Shah not consulted on Sindh's latest political developments

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said he was not consulted by the leadership of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) regarding the “decision of changing Sindh chief minister and a possible reshuffle in the provincial cabinet”.

"I was not consulted before taking such a big decision [of changing Sindh CM]," Shah said while talking to media-persons at the Parliament House.

Khursheed Shah, who is considered as a key figure in PPP and also hails from Sindh, said that he came to know about the decision through media.

"The move was surprising for me, however, I respect the decision taken by the party's leadership," Shah maintained.

The opposition leader said that the meeting of senior party leaders was held in Dubai while he was here in the country.

Responding to a question regarding new Sindh chief minister, Shah said he has heard people saying that Murad Ali Shah would become the next chief minister “but his name is not final”.

"Final decision regarding the new chief minister will be taken in the party's meeting on Tuesday, which will be chaired by Bilawal Bhutto," Shah added.
