PPLA urges govt to upgrade teachers’ posts

LAHORE: The Punjab Professors and Lecturers Association has demanded upgrade of teachers posts in Punjab on the pattern of other provinces.

Presiding over a meeting of the association here on Sunday, Prof Tauseef Sadiq said the Punjab government should follow the other provinces to upgrade college teachers’ posts.

The association said ‘pay protection’ should be introduced for the contract teachers. He said the teachers should be given 100 per cent exemption in income tax and time scale.
