Eight cases under ATA in child abuse case

MUZAFFARGARH: The Kot Addu police have registered eight cases under the Anti-Terrorism Act against the gangsters who raped children and made their videos to blackmail them.

Police said the three arrested men had confessed to raping 12 children.

District Police Officer Awais Ahmad told Dawn that the parents of three more raped children came to the police station and narrated their ordeal. He said he had announced through mosque loudspeakers that those who had been affected by the gang should contact police without fear.

The DPO said they had arrested three people on a complaint of May 29 when a family claimed that their child had been sexually assaulted.
