QUETTA: A ban has been placed on pillion riding and display of weapons in Quetta under Section 144 by the provincial government’s home and tribal affairs department.

The decision has been apparently taken because of a surge in incidents of targeted killing and acts of terrorism in the city.

According to a notification issued by the home department on Friday, pillion riding and display of all kinds of weapons have been prohibited in Quetta for a month.
