Two killed in Shangla road accident

SHANGLA: Two persons were killed and one was injured in a road accident here on Tuesday.

An official at Chawga police station said that a van on its way from Chowga to Aloch in Puran tehsil, went out of the driver’s control at Ana Kaly and fell into a ravine, killing two people and injuring one.

The local people reached the scene soon after the accident and retrieved the bodies and the injured and shifted them to a hospital in Puran. The injured identified as Khan Zameen was referred to Saidu Teaching Hospital in Mingora. The deceased were identified as Laeeq Mohammad of Hawarai village and Naeem Khan of Bengalai.

Meanwhile, a man was electrocuted while fixing a fault in his house at Damorai village of Kana tehsil on Tuesday.

Police officials identified the victim as Mohammad Hayat.

They said people took him to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but the doctors pronounced him dead upon reaching the hospital.
