ISLAMABAD: After a hot and dry day, the federal capital received a rain and hail on Sunday night.

But the sudden hailstorm brought traffic to a standstill as motorcyclists and motorists alike sought shelter from the hailstones, which dented car roofs. A commuter travelling on Faisal Avenue during the hailstorm said he had to pull over under a bridge and wait out the hailstorm, for fear of damaging his vehicle.
