Always on call
According to a recent study of more than 2,000 American workers conducted by Kelton and Cornerstone OnDemand, 55pc of respondents reported that managers at their offices expected some employees to be on call after hours or over the weekend. Researchers posit that such expectations are causing some workers to feel increasingly disengaged, and that promoting a better sense of work-life balance can reverse this trend.
