Women’s role in society
WOMEN, once the most dormant segment of our population, have now become active in all walks of life. Till now, they were only part of the family organisation.
Now, they are a significant unit of society and also influencing the course of social change. Young educated girls get engaged in a profession of their choice. We need more doctors, engineers, software developers, and social workers.
The world cannot grow at good pace unless women come forward and take initiative for development works. They can contribute enormously in the field of healthcare.
Women’s education will also improve the level of sanitation and hygiene. As a mother, her role in the development of the emotional psychological aspect of the newborn is significant.
She is not only the birth-giver and maintainer of her child but an educator and disciplinarian as well.
Women can no more be kept behind the curtains doing only domestic duties. Our society seems to be accepting the wider participation of women.
They are working as pilots; clerks and officers, and are in parliament as the people’s representatives. Women, with their intelligence and personality, protect their families from disruptions and disintegration.
