Conversations that we dread

The digital marketing firm Fractl recently conducted a survey of 1,100 American workers and asked them about having difficult conversations at the office. According to respondents, negotiating a raise was the most distressing conversation to have at work: 58pc said that they felt uncomfortable when having conversations about getting paid more money. The least distressing of difficult conversations were those that involved asking for clearer directions or apologising for mistakes.
