Man found dead with torture marks

KARACHI: A man was found dead with torture marks on his body in Zaman Town on Friday, police said.

They added that the body of the man in his late 20s was found in the storm-water drain near Nasir Jump.

Zaman Town SHO Nand Lal said there were torture marks on the body. The corpse was taken to the Edhi morgue in the Sohrab Goth after medico-legal formalities at the Jinnah Post­­g­raduate Medical Centre.

Man shot dead

A man was shot dead in Landhi on Friday allegedly by his relatives over some property dispute, police said.

They added that 55-year-old Mushtaq Ahmed was gunned down by his brother-in-law Quraish, his son Ali and son-in-law Imran inside his home in Landhi-84, 2-C area.

Landhi SHO Ahmed Butt said the murder appeared to be the outcome of some family dispute over property.

The three suspects nominated in the case are absconders.
