KARACHI: The first meeting of the newly-elected body of the Karachi Union of Journalists on Saturday called upon the government to ensure payment of the Seventh Wage Award arrears to journalists and to hold the first meeting of the Eighth Wage Board.

A resolution adopted at the meeting observed it was unfortunate that the Eighth Wage Board had not held its meeting even though it was constituted in Sept 2013.
