Saqlain included in CPL draft along with Butt, Asif

Pakistan duo of Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif will be up for grabs in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) draft set to take place on February 11.

Butt and Asif resumed their cricket careers when they featured for WAPDA in Pakistan's domestic one-day tournament on January 10 after their five-year spot-fixing bans were lifted in September last year.

Butt has shown tremendous form since his return and finished as the highest run-scorer in the recently National One-Day Cup with 536 runs in seven matches.

Mohammad Amir, who was also involved in the famous spot-fixing saga of 2010 along with Asif and Butt, is also amongs the 37 Pakistani players included in the draft.

Interestingly, former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq, who played his last Twenty20 game for Surrey against Essex in 2008, has also thrown his name in the hat after being part of the Masters Champions League, a tournament of retired players.

The 39-year-old last represented Pakistan in 2003 and had a long run in the English country circuit after that. He has also played coaching roles notably for Bangladesh and West Indies.
