WEF initiative: local solutions to global issues

ISLAMABAD: More than 20 cities of the world, including Islamabad, will be connected with Davos under the ‘Global Shapers Community’, an initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF), in live two-day video conversation with local communities.

Shaping Davos is a conservation that explores local solutions to global issues by engaging local stakeholders first and then connecting them to Davos.

Shaping Davos journey starts in cities around the world where ‘Global Shapers’ bring together mayors, business leaders, social activists and academics to discuss the issues from a local perspective.

After that they will share their perspectives with a global audience during live conversations.

These conversations are webcast live at www.shapingdavos.org between Jan 20 and Jan 23.

Islamabad will be connected with Moscow, Pune and Jeddah on Jan 23 between 11.30 and 12.30 central European time (CET) to discuss “Reimag­ining Urban Life.”
