Teaching staff shortage

I WANT to draw the Balochistan governor’s attention towards the shortage of teaching staff at the University of Balochistan. In January 2015, the university conducted a written test through the National Testing Service for posts lying vacant in different departments. Unfortunately, there was no further processing and no interviews have been held to date of the candidates who cleared the NTS test.

Meanwhile, most of the faculties are meeting their teaching requirements through visiting lecturers, whereas the appointment of regular teaching staff is mandatory.

A good university must have qualified and dedicated teachers to fulfill the academic needs of its students.

Being chancellor of the university, I request the Balochistan governor to ensure appointment of deserving candidates as teaching staff as early as possible.
