New ACs to be deployed across province

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has issued notifications for posting 19 under-training assistant commissioners (ACs) across the province after completing their training.

Under Training (UT) Assistant Commissioner Attock Bilawal Abro was posted as AC Murree, Sataish Sheheryar was appointed AC Rawalpindi Cantonment, Kanwal Batool has been posted at Gujar Khan, Maleeha Jamal at Kahuta and Neelam Sultana Khattak at Hazro.

These assistant commissioners will take charge at their new offices after the local government elections in Rawalpindi district have been held.

According to a source, the current AC Murree, Tahir Farooq, will be transferred to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and AC Gujar Khan will be posted to Gujranwala.

However, the source said, Commissioner Zahid Saeed and District Coordination Officer Sajid Zafar Dall are trying to bring back AC Gujar Khan, Nazia Parveen Sudhan and the assistant commissioner of Murree to the Rawalpindi district because they were performing special duties for land acquisition and for other projects like uplift programmes.

He said the divisional and district head of administrations have sent their proposals to the Punjab chief secretary to get them reappointed in Rawalpindi.

The other under training assistant commissioners to be posted are Tariq Ali at Jund, Sarwar at Sara-e-Alamgir, Waseem Ahmed at Talagang, Asma Ijaz at Mianwali, Shafqat Raza at Bahawalnagar, Kanwal Nizam at Raniala, Mohammad Shoaib Nissowana at Maisli, Noorullah Qureshi at Kharian, Humaira Arshad at Sharqpur, Rabia Riasat at Safdarabad, Rao Imtiaz at Model Town Lahore, Sara Hayat at Lahore Cantonment, and Afshan Rabab and Noorish Saba at Government Services Wing and the General Administration Department Lahore.
