A nursery kid’s ‘roller-coaster ride’

LAHORE: “It was like a roller-coaster ride,” was the description by a nursery student of Monday’s earthquake, the first-ever for the four-year old.

The class was doing numeric when it happened. The teacher got worried, asked everyone to stand up, make a queue and move towards the school ground, Saim, the nursery kid, said.

“The whole school was moving like a roller-coaster,” recalls Saim.

Later, in the school ground, Saim was informed by his elder sibling it was an earthquake.

“Earthquake and roller-coaster are the same. But earthquake is not good, it is cruel. It kills children of my age. Roller-coaster gives enjoyment,” says Saim.
